Abstract
У тезах автор розглядає різноманітні прояви суспільно-політичної діяльності українців Канади на протязі більш ніж ста років існування української діаспори у цій країні. Аналізується діяльність українців на різних рівнях: власної громади у вигляді заснування гуртків Просвіти, провінції та загальнодержавному у вигляді обрання їх депутатами до провінційних та федеральних парламентів. Здійснено оцінку суспільно-політичної діяльності низки окремих осіб на державних посадах різного рівня (І. Гнатишин, П. Юзик, Р. Романів, М. Хом’як та ін.), а також й організацій українців Канади (Просвіти). \n(The author examines various manifestations of social and political activities of the Ukrainians in Canada during more than a hundred years of existence of the Ukrainian diaspora in this country. The Ukrainians’ activities are analysed from various perspectives: the activity on the community level such as founding clubs of Enlightenment; on the level of the province and nation such as being elected as deputies to the provincial and federal parliaments. Socio-political activities of some representatives on different levels of public positions (I. Hnatyshyn, P. Yuzyk, R. Romanіv, M. Khomiak, etc.) as well as of organizations of the Ukrainians in Canada (Enlightenments) are evaluated in this research.)
