Abstract
Neste artigo, de caráter ensaístico, procuraremos apresentar alguns aspectos da análise e possibilidades de abordagens metodológicas para o estudo dos vasos de figuras negras do final do período arcaico, baseando-nos nos lécitos presentes na coleção do Museu Real de Ontário, Toronto, Canadá. Interessa-nos aqui apontar, além das questões pertinentes aos estudos particulares dessa categoria de vasos cerâmicos, a maneira como esses conjuntos de pequenos vasos de figuras negras foram sendo apresentados na bibliografia, nos catálogos e nas discussões atuais sobre ceramologia.
