Abstract
A short characteristic of oil-and-gas content and geological of West Canadian and West Ukrainian oil and gas bearing basins is given in this article. The similarity of geological structure of the above mentioned two oil-and-gas bearing basins is revealed as presented is the comparative analysis on oil and gas presence on the basis of which new directions of oil and gas prospecting and exploration in the western regions of Ukrainian are grounded.
