Abstract
Ce numéro spécial de Recherches sociographiques a pour objectif principal de fournir un bilan prospectif du champ d’étude québécois des petites sociétés, tout en accueillant des études de cas sur le Québec qui placent en leur centre la notion ou la réalité des petites sociétés, notamment dans une perspective comparée. Par exemple, quels sont les principaux travaux sur le Québec comme petite société? Quelles questions soulèvent-ils? À quoi reconnaissent-ils et mesurent-ils la petitesse? Quelles disciplines en font un objet et un prisme d’analyse? Quel concept plus précis emploient-elles, et pourquoi? À quelles petites sociétés compare-t-on le Québec, et pourquoi? Quels sont les défis de ce champ d’étude à la fois ancien et en émergence? Comment cette notion est-elle reçue et travaillée dans les réseaux savants internationaux? Peut-elle être élargie à l’étude de sociétés non occidentales? Quelles solidarités pourraient en émerger?
