Abstract
The Southwestern Ontario Stroke Care in LTC initiative would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and investment of many people along the way, who continued to support the project even when the going became tough…. Particular thanks should be given to Susan Hocking, the original investigator, who, had it not been for the birth of her twin sons, would still be leading the project with dedication and commitment. Her knowledge of the system and her skillful ability to inspire others started this project on a path that allowed others to follow more easily. The members of the Advisory Group, and particularly the Working Group, each added a different perspective, resulting in a beneficial collaboration. They worked with enthusiasm, both in group meetings and at their local sites, to reinforce the importance of the project. Ongoing support, encouragement and guidance have been given throughout the project
