Abstract
Thierry Beaudoin was born in Montreal, where he received a degree in architecture at the University of Montreal. He worked at several architectural offices internationally, in particularly at Atelier Big City, and simultaneously created and participated in a collective called Ekip focusing on the relationship between experience, art and design. In 2003 he joined WANTED landscape pursuing his interest in the design and programming of the public realm. He concurrently teaches architecture at the University of Montreal and he is completing a thesis on the relation between design, pedagogy and analogies. He is presenting here the results of a class he bought at McGill about hyperdrawings and Montreal. Beaudoin has a holistic approach to design with an understanding of the environment as an attempt to synthesize the paradoxical forces of modernity. Beaudoin received many awards and lectured at numerous places in North America.
