Abstract
In Canada and throughout the developed world, home-lessness is a significant social issue that demands the at-tention of our public institutions. A staggering proportion of those experiencing homelessness are also experiencing mental disorders, demanding high levels of health care service to meet the needs of these individuals [1,2]. Previ-ous research has concluded that inadequate services are available for people experiencing homelessness and men-tal illness, often due to competing priorities, barriers to treatment access, and poor discharge planning and follow-up [3,4].
