SUBJECT: Approval of Position Paper on Safety Concerns in Physical Education Classes Grades PreK-12
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Science at Grand Valley State University to provide teachers and administrators with fundamental recommendations regarding safety concerns and practices for conducting physical education classes in grades PreK-1.2. This position statement and recommendations were developed after reviewing research journals, physical education preparation textbooks, principles of safety, safety guidelines from American and Canadian professional physical education associations, as well as input from reviews (Abreu et aI, 1999; Dougherty, 1993). It is our expectation that this position paper will help raise awareness and understanding of safety issues and that the implementation of these recommendations will decrease the risk of unintentional injuries for students in the class setting. This paper will be made available to school personnel and the general public on our website. The Safety Guidelines will be an important tool for physical education staff as they work to further their professional development hrough a more detailed understanding of fundamental safety recommendations and legal liability to reduce unintentional injuries during physical education and physical activities.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
