Abstract
This notice clarifies the documentation exporters must submit to the Kansas City Commodity Office (KCCO) and the documentation that exporters must maintain in their files to substantiate the date of export for truck and rail shipments to Mexico and Canada. Under the provisions of both Agreements, the exporter must furnish certain documentation with each application for payment. This documentation includes evidence of the date of export. This evidence is issued by an independent third party, such as a freight forwarder. Documents such as a Mexican Pedimento de Importacion or similar document such as a Cargo Release Control Document are also acceptable but not required for payment. In addition, the exporter is required to maintain in their files a Mexican Pedimento or Canadian Customs document to support the date of export / border crossing. This documentation must be made available for on site reviews and, if required, forwarded to our office.
