Abstract
The following study on “Local Transportation Connectivity ” was conducted by Plan It Calgary staff in consultation with internal City of Calgary stakeholders, along with research into practices that are being developed or have already been implemented in other North American cities. Current and historical development patterns in Calgary were also reviewed as part of the study. A set of recommendations are included at the end of the report defining optimal connectivity standards for future development in the city. The study and its recommendations should not be interpreted as City policy however. Instead, the recommendations in this report are intended to provide guidance in the development of draft policies for the new Calgary Transportation Plan (CTP) and Municipal Development Plan (MDP).
