Abstract
school board had just recently approved a plan that would provide each school in the division with new computers and Internet access via microwave technology. Each of eighteen schools would receive a new computer lab. As well, each community would receive a microwave tower which would provide the communication capabilities. With a total budget of over half a million dollars for the hardware there was no money left to provide staff with training in using the new technology. This is where the University of Saskatchewan entered the scene.
