Abstract
www.lightsource.ca/education Hello and welcome to the world of synchrotron science! Thank you very much for your interest in this flagship project of Canadian Scientific Innovation! There has been keen interest in introducing synchrotron science to students. It is our hope that this book helps teachers bring the synchrotron into the classroom. One of the goals of the Educational Outreach Program is to help students understand the possibilities that exist in Canada in the areas of science and research; specifically the research conducted at our facility. Today’s students are tomorrow’s researchers. We are happy to foster the natural curiosity that students and science teachers have. Our program is very much in its infancy. We are developing more teaching materials that support curriculum learning outcomes and are interesting to students. We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with teachers to incorporate CLS materials into your lessons. If you are interested in working with us, please contact CLS Outreach.
