Abstract
Health care in Ontario is delivered by a complex network of health service providers. With the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) as the steward and primary funder, each service provider (e.g. Community Health Centers and Family Health Teams) has its own distinct rules and regulations. This means that Boards must not only understand their own organization, but must have a broad understanding of Ontario’s health care system and be aware of potential changes to the system that will impact their organization.
