Abstract
This paper intends to synthesize the literature on IS project success and provide a comprehensive representation of what success embodies. The last 20 years of literature that investigates IS project success is analyzed resulting in 152 useful articles. Based on the different lenses utilized in the reviewed literature, IS project success is dissected into five success dimensions, namely: process, product, stakeholder satisfaction, operational, and business success. Based on empirical evidence, relationships between the five dimensions are established. Lastly, an integral relational model is suggested and implications discussed.
