Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

During hypertonic peritoneal dialysis (PD) dwells,an initial reduction in the dialysate sodium con-centration regularly occurs with dwell time, owing to sodium sieving. Minimum dialysate Na concentration is attained after approximately 80 – 120 minutes; af-ter which, the dialysate Na again approaches the plasma Na concentration. This phenomenon is most likely a result of osmotic water transport through endothelial water channels aquaporin-1 (AQP-1), which reject solutes and thereby cause dilution of the dialysate over the first 2 hours of the dwell (1–5). In severe ultrafiltration failure (UFF), an apparent lack of sodium sieving is a frequent occurrence (6). Lack of sodium sieving has usually been taken as evidence of reduced water transport through aquaporins, con-ceivably due to malfunction of those molecular water

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
