Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract. The Canadian ACE (Atmospheric Chemistry Ex-periment) mission is dedicated to the retrieval of a large num-ber of atmospheric trace gas species using the solar occul-tation technique in the infrared and UV/visible spectral do-main. However, two additional solar disk imagers (at 525 nm and 1020 nm) were added for a number of reasons, includ-ing the retrieval of aerosol and cloud products. In this pa-per, we present first comparison results for these imager aerosol/cloud optical extinction coefficient profiles, with the ones derived from measurements performed by 3 solar occul-tation instruments (SAGE II, SAGE III, POAM III), one stel-lar occultation instrument (GOMOS) and one limb sounder (OSIRIS). The results indicate that the ACE imager profiles are of good quality in the upper troposphere/lower strato-sphere, although the aerosol extinction for the visible channel

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
