Abstract
has recently finished a habilitation research project at the University of Marburg, which compares the Majjhima-nikāya discourses with their Chinese, Sanskrit, and Tibetan counterparts. Besides his academic activities, he regularly teaches meditation in Sri Lanka. Michael Berman is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.
