Vancouver Walks: Discovering City Heritage (also with Michael Kluckner). LEFT: A beautiful day at Kitsilano Beach.
Bibliographic record
Abstract
From the beach to the Show Boat, the milk wagons and hippies, Kitsilano has a rich and varied history. Some of that fascinating history will be explored in a presentation by John Atkin through stories and recollections of former resi-dents. Many of these stories were col-lected for the City of Vancouver’s Por-trait V2K project, and from interviews appearing in an early video documen-tary of the neighbourhood. John Atkin is an author, historian and heritage advocate who organizes and conducts tours for groups and individuals throughout the City of Vancouver, including those in Kitsilano and his beloved Strathcona. He has explored Vancouver like few others have and offers interesting and offbeat insights into the city’s architecture, history and neighbourhoods. John is a co-founder of Heritage Vancouver and has served as its President. He has appeared on Canada AM and Gabereau and currently hosts his Secrets of

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
