Abstract
Dr. Wiese's reserach interests focus on the protection and conservation of the marine environment, particularly issues concerning environmental and anthropogenic impacts on marine organisms and their ecosystems. Through his research on chronic oil pollution and its impact on seabirds, Dr. Wiese has worked with the Environmental Studies Research Fund, Environment Canada, Husky Oil, and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers. Dr. Wiese has numerous publications to his credit, and is a member of several professional ornithological associations. Born in Switzerland, Dr. Wiese lived and graduated from high school in Mexico.
