Abstract
This paper describes the current state of civic engagement (defined as “participation in the life of a community in order to improve conditions for others or to help shape the community's future”) by youth (ages ~15-29) in Vancouver. Programs created by the City that encourage such engagement are described, as well as a sampling of the youth organizations at work promoting
