this petition in accordance with Section 215(d)(1) of the Federal Power Act (“FPA”) and Part 39.5 of the Commission’s regulations seeking approval of one proposed regional reliability standard of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (“WECC”), BAL-004-WECC-01 — Automatic Time Error Correction and three associated new definitions, contained in Exhibit A to this petition. The proposed NERC reliability standard was approved with conditions by the NERC Board of Trustees during its March 26, 2008 conference call. NERC requests an effective date in the U.S. the first day of the first quarter after approval by the Commission. NERC also is filing this regional reliability standard with applicable governmental authorities in Canada.
