Abstract
This report is dedicated to people with diabetes, who bear the burden of the disease, and to the caregivers who tend to their needs. This work is conducted in the shadow of the work of Drs. Banting and Best who discovered insulin in this province. As such, the Task Force would like to see Ontario, once again, placed in a position of international excellence in maximizing patient outcomes for diabetes. The Task Force report is also dedicated to the late Dr. Bernie O’Brien and Dr. Hui Lee whose tragic and untimely deaths occurred during their time with the Task Force. Drs.
