Abstract
We announce the update to CNA's Integrated Ship Database (ISDB) with data as of the end of the third quarter of CY11 [1]. You can find the database file (ISDB 2011-09.xls) on CNA’s web site on the Operations and Tactics Analysis Division page with the address: www.cna.org/centers/operations-tactics/ship-database Once there, you will see a link to a document titled Basic Layout and Instructions that describes basic features of the database and steps to take when first opening it. For additional background information, we refer you to the link identified as User's Manual for the original manual of December 2005 [2]. New fields and QuikLook pivot tables This quarter we modified the database to account for the ship classification and ship counting guidance in the Secretary of the Navy’s Instruction 5030.8A [3]. First, we inserted four new fields:
Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.
