Abstract
Literature on ISO 9000 is replete with claims about the potential business advantage from registration to a firm, regardless of industry. However, little empirical evidence is available as support. This paper examines 1) whether Canadian apparel buyers are influenced by ISO 9000 in vendor selection, and 2) whether certain factors determine how these buyers respond to ISO 9000 in vendor selection.
