This item is an audio of the "Hamster Dance," featuring rows of animated hamsters dancing to a sped-up version of Roger Miller's "Whistle Stop."Created by Canadian art student Deidre LaCarte in 1997, the animation became a viral sensation in the early 2000s, epitomizing the playful and experimental nature of early internet culture.It is included in <i>The Internet That Raised Us</i> to highlight a significant example of early internet humor and the viral spread of content in the pre-social media era.
