Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The primary objective of this compendium is to compile, categorize, and synthesize engineering approaches and physical characteristics for embankment dams located in permafrost regions. Drawing exclusively from publicly available information gathered prior to June 2024, it encompasses a broad spectrum of data, including the characteristics of constructed dams and engineering designs. Detailed site conditions are systematically organized alongside specific structural and permafrost engineering parameters. The compendium focuses on design parameters and physical traits, and does not provide information regarding construction processes undertaken or the post-construction performance of the structures. By structuring this data across key domains, including thermal regimes, thaw mitigation, hydraulic barriers, stability and deformation analysis, and instrumentation, this resource provides researchers and practitioners with a comprehensive tool to evaluate past and current practices, and guide future designs for the unique engineering challenges associated with frozen-component dams and embankment dams in permafrost regions.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
