Abstract
Memória do Futuro: Chile (2019–2022), de Pierre Dardot, reconstrói o estallido chileno, buscando compreender as suas forças constitutivas e seu potencial na construção de uma nova imaginação política. Diferente de seus trabalhos consagrados escritos com Christian Laval, Dardot mergulha na experiência concreta dos protestos para pensar as prefigurações e limites da reinvenção democrática ancorada em práticas do comum. A obra reinterpreta a transição chilena, enfatizando o ethos concertacionista e a persistência da racionalidade neoliberal, sem reduzir a sociedade a um sujeito dócil. A partir da noção de “memória do futuro”, Dardot desloca o horizonte da mudança ao orientar o presente pelo futuro desejado. O livro é organizado em seis capítulos e busca endereçar hipóteses sobre a vitória do rechazo diante de uma constituição indiscutivelmente progressista, que incorporava as grandes questões contemporâneas do Chile, como a plurinacionalidade, interculturalidade, ecologia, paridade de gênero, ampliação de direitos sociais e de cidadania, além de redefinir o papel do Estado em áreas fundamentais como educação, saúde e previdência.
