Hints of an invariant Qmet≈40 across scales: the metronomic doublet (PeQ) and the shaping of temporal decoherence
Bibliographic record
Abstract
This work explores a possible invariant coupling between two conjugate scalar fields — the cadence field (P) and the memory field (Q) — whose phase difference generates the observable arrow of time. Cross-domain analyses, from solar and magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) data to atomic chronometry, reveal a persistent coherence factor: Qmet≈40±3, suggesting a universal metronomic resonance that regulates phase stability across physical scales. The study combines analytical modeling (Lagrangian formulation of the P–Q doublet) and empirical validation using open datasets: BIPM UTC–UTC(k) residuals from Circular T (1990–1998) F10.7 cm solar radio flux from the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory (NRC Canada, Penticton) NASA OMNIWeb interplanetary field and plasma data These datasets consistently exhibit long-term oscillations and coherence bands near 1900–2100 days, matching the same metronomic factor . This recurrence suggests a shared cadence–memory structure underpinning temporal decoherence, potentially bridging quantum clocks, solar activity, and cosmic timescales.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
