Abstract
La santé sexuelle des femmes connaît une politisation croissante, portée par les mouvements féministes, la médiatisation de pathologies comme l’endométriose, le vaginisme ou la vestibulodynie, et les travaux de sociologie de la sexualité qui montrent combien ces douleurs sont influencées par des normes de genre et des processus de médicalisation. Dans le sillage des études qui affirment que les expériences intimes façonnent le rapport politique des individus au monde social, cette recherche explore comment une pathologie génitale peut socialiser au féminisme. L’analyse combine l’observation ethnographique de cinq groupes de soutien en ligne, des observations participantes d’ateliers thérapeutiques et 19 entretiens semi-directifs. Elle conceptualise la socialisation féministe comme un « rapport mobilisé à sa condition sociale » (Bargel et Darmon, 2017) et met en évidence trois mécanismes : le diagnostic d’une pathologie génitale, l’exposition aux savoirs thérapeutiques et féministes, et l’intégration à des groupes de soutien. Les effets de chacun de ces mécanismes de socialisation dépendent toutefois des socialisations préalables et des conditions d’exposition aux discours féministes.
