Ce mémoire de recherche analyse les enjeux d’une transition énergétique dite « juste » dans le contexte de double transition énergétique et numérique en s’intéressant particulièrement aux travailleurs de plateformes numériques. Si la littérature révèle déjà la précarité structurelle des chauffeurs Uber, la question se pose de savoir si la stratégie de décarbonation d’Uber, en incitant à l’adoption de véhicules électriques, accentue cette précarité ou ouvre la voie à une transition plus équitable. En mobilisant les cadres théoriques de la transition juste (TJ) et du travail décent, la recherche examine l’articulation entre les engagements environnementaux d’Uber (au travers de sa responsabilité sociale), les logiques économiques qui les sous-tendent et leurs répercussions concrètes sur la rémunération des chauffeurs autonomes de Montréal. Elle propose une réflexion interdisciplinaire à l’intersection du droit, de l’économie du travail et de la gouvernance d’entreprise, afin de penser les conditions d’une transition énergétique véritablement juste et inclusive.
