Abstract
L’objectif de cet article est d’examiner comment l’éducation à la citoyenneté est envisagée en Belgique (partie francophone), en particulier dans les programmes scolaires. La communication examinera et comparera les conceptions de l’éducation à la citoyenneté, dans l’enseignement public (dit « officiel ») et dans l’enseignement privé (dit « libre ») d’obédience catholique, selon deux axes d’analyse : politique-éthique et épistémologique. D’un point de vue politique-éthique : s’agit-il d’une même conception de la citoyenneté? Comment l’éducation à la citoyenneté prend-elle en compte la diversité culturelle, religieuse et convictionnelle? Dans quelle mesure est-elle envisagée : de manière neutre ou engagée? D’un point de vue épistémologique, quels sont les liens entre l’éducation à la citoyenneté et les différentes disciplines, en particulier la philosophie?
