Abstract
Esta pieza inédita presenta el trabajo de investigación de La Asociación Zonal de Cabildos y Autoridades Tradicionales de la Chorrera, AZICATCH, sobre la bonanza cauchera en el valle del Putumayo a principios del Siglo XX. Luego de cien años de reflexión guiados por las plantas sagradas del tabaco, la coca y la yuca dulce, los pueblos Uitoto, Bora, Okaina y Muinane de La Chorrera en la Amazonia Colombiana, rompen su silencio y firman un convenio en 2014 con el Centro Nacional de Memoria Histórica, para contarle al mundo los relatos de sus abuelos, los sobrevivientes victoriosos de lo que algunos autores han llamado el “holocausto Amazónico.” Este libro es entonces el resultado de dicho proceso de investigación, reflexión, y sanación por parte de las cuatro naciones de lo que hoy se conoce como Resguardo Predio Putumayo, y es presentado al publico en general para que, la historia que aquí se registra, no vuelva a repetirse.
