Abstract
L’obtention de la citoyenneté marque une étape cruciale de l’intégration des immigrants et influe sur la cohésion sociale et la participation politique. Même si les taux de naturalisation agrégés fournissent des renseignements au macroniveau, les disparités selon le pays d’origine montrent diverses voies d’intégration. Au moyen d’une analyse comparative entre l’Australie et le Canada (des pays ayant des échelles d’immigration comparables et des approches en matière d’immigration largement semblables, mais présentant des différences notables dans leurs cadres de naturalisation), la présente étude porte sur la façon dont les caractéristiques des pays d’origine influent sur les tendances de naturalisation.
