Abstract
It’s one thing to talk about relinquishing control in the classroom. It’s quite another to do it. At one of our 2025 MRU SoTL Symposium workshops, presenters Abeer Siddiqui and Sara Smith zeroed in on the need to centre student agency. In plain speak, put students in charge of much more of their own learning. Conference podcaster Nick Strzalkowski interviewed Abeer and Sara, who provide some excellent tips on how educators might go about giving up some control.
