El departamento de Risaralda, pese a ser uno de los departamentos más pequeños de Colombia, alberga una gran diversidad biológica debido a la confluencia de gran variedad de atributos geográficos. Parte de esta diversidad está representada en las colecciones biológicas CUS de UNISARC donde se alberga un porcentaje importante de dicha diversidad, con representatividad de diferentes grupos biológicos de flora y fauna invertebrada y vertebrada. No obstante, esta valiosa información no se encuentra a disposición de los investigadores en ciencias biológicas, y la comunidad en general, lo que disminuye su potencial para generar y compartir conocimiento. Por esta razón, se busca publicar a través de la plataforma del SIB Colombia el catálogo de registros que se albergan en estas colecciones para contribuir y facilitar la investigación y divulgación de conocimiento en biodiversidad de la región del eje cafetero y la nación.Las colecciones de anfibios y reptiles de la Corporación Universitaria Santa Rosa de Cabal (CUS-A y CUS-R, respectivamente) están ubicadas en el campus de la Corporación Universitaria Santa Rosa de Cabal (UNISARC) en la vereda el Jazmín, Km 4 Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda. La colección se originó en el año 2012 como iniciativa docente y del semillero de investigación en anfibios y reptiles (SIARUS) de UNISARC, con el fin de preservar material de referencia del departamento de Risaralda. En la actualidad, la colección alberga 166 especímenes de anfibios pertenecientes a los tres (3) órdenes del grupo, 11 familias, 26 géneros y 47 especies, y 133 de reptiles distribuidos en órdenes del grupo, 16 familias, 36 géneros y 49 especies. Las familias mejor representadas son: Strabomantidae con 15 especies (76 individuos) para anfibios y Colubridae para reptiles con 22 especies en 81 registros. La mayoría de los registros son de la región cafetera, especialmente del departamento de Risaralda.
