Abstract
The work of deaf women expressed in the form of comic books and zines speaks loudly about themselves and Deaf culture. It is also a kind of manifesto and a story about the gradual building of their own identity. Their works emphasize the problems of deaf people in the so-called "hearing" world and the attempt to protect one's own personality and identity related to being deaf, People such as Sandrine Allier-Guepin from France, Małgorzata Szok-Ciechacka from Poland, Kerry Radley from the USA, Lynn Y. Hoo from the USA, Rei Ga-Wun Leung from Canada are considered.
