Abstract
This item is the meeting minutes of the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University held on July 11, 2003 at the Ohio State University Longaberger Alumni House, Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Sofia presented the Chairman's Report, and President Karen A. Holbrook gave the President's Report. Dean Michael J. Hogan gave an Update on Arts and Sciences and the Board discussed the update. The Student Recognition Award was presented to Matt Miesner. Mr. William J. Shkurti gave the Budget Update and led the discussion. The 2003-2004 Undergraduate Tuition resolution was discussed and adopted. The consent agenda included the following resolutions: Amendments to Committee Appointments for 2003-2004, Appointments to the Adria Kravinsky Foundation Board of Directors, Appointments to the University Hospitals Board and University Hospitals East Board, Amendments to the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of The Ohio State University Hospitals East, Regional Campus Board Appointment/Reappointment, Amendments to the Regional Campus Board of Trustees Bylaws, Renaming of The department and Undergraduate Program of Human Nutrition and Food Management, Amendments to the Rules of the University Faculty, Amendments to the Code of Student Conduct, Degrees and Certificates - Summer Quarter Commencement, Personnel Actions, Resolution in Memoriam, Report of Research Contracts and Grants, Report on University Development, Purchase of Real Property (for 237 East Seventeenth Avenue, Columbus, Ohio), Purchase of Improved Real Property (for 960 Kinnear Road, Clinton Township, Ohio), Campus Partners Authorization for Continue Funding, Appointment and Reappointment of Investment Managers, Authorization Issuance and Sale of General Receipts Series 2003 B Bonds, and Authorization Issuance and Sale of Variable Rate Demand General Receipts Series 2003 C Bonds. The appendices included processes, budgets, building plans, and maps that were not already present in the minutes.
