Ce document démontre l’impact et la valeur des PID en résumant les principaux problèmes qu’ils peuvent aider à résoudre, tels que mis en évidence par la communauté de la recherche au Canada. Ceux-ci comprennent le fardeau administratif excessif imposé aux chercheurs et chercheuses, la nécessité des PID pour mettre en œuvre les principes FAIR, la frustration liée au processus d’évaluation (tant pour les subventions que pour la promotion et la permanence), ainsi que les défis associés à l’analyse de l’activité de recherche au Canada.
