Search for decays of the Higgs boson into scalar particles decaying into four or six b quarks using pp collisions at √s = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector
Bibliographic record
Abstract
A search for exotic decays of the Higgs boson H into new scalar or pseudoscalar particles that subsequently decay into b-quarks is presented. The search considers ZH production with several decay scenarios for the Higgs boson; first to a pair of identical scalars, H → 2a → 4b, second to a pair of scalars with different masses (m a1 < m a2 ), either directly, H → a 1 a 2 → 4b, or via a longer decay chain, H → a 1 a 2 → 3a 1 → 6b.The analysis uses proton-proton collision data at ffiffi ffi s p ¼ 13 TeV collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb -1 .No significant excess above the Standard Model prediction is observed. The search sets upper limits at 95% confidence level on the ratio of the Higgs boson production cross section to the SM prediction times the branching ratio of Higgs bosons decaying into 4b or 6b, between 4% and 25% for σðZHÞ=σ SM ðZHÞ × BðH → 2a → 4bÞ, between 24% and 38% for σðZHÞ=σ SM ðZHÞ × BðH → a 1 a 2 → 4bÞ, and between 10% and 20% for σðZHÞ=σ SM ðZHÞ × BðH → a 1 a 2 → 3a 1 → 6bÞ, depending on the masses of the scalar particles.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
