Abstract
Az elmúlt évben elvégeztük a Lithoprobe-program keretében Vancouver-szigeten mért Line-4 elnevezésű mélyszeizmikus szelvény (1984) archív adatainak újrafeldolgozását. A kanadai kutatási program aktívan 1984-től 2005-ig tartott. Célja a szárazföld és a határoló kontinentális peremek szerkezetének, összetételének és fejlődéstörténetének háromdimenziós térben történő meghatározása volt az észak-amerikai kontinens teljes szélességén keresztül. A multidiszciplináris program eredményeként eddig több mint 1500 publikáció jelent meg. Az utóbbi időben felvetődött, hogy az archív adatokat (Kanadai Geológiai Szolgálat) újszerű kvalitatív és kvantitatív feldolgozási eljárásokkal ismét feldolgozzuk. Tanulmányunkban a Szabályozott Tevékenységek Felügyeleti Hatósága, Földtani Szolgálata által elért első eredményeinket mutatjuk be, amelyek egy nemzetközi kutatási együttműködés első lépéseit jelentik.
