Abstract
Le présent mémoire s’intéresse au rôle du droit international et de ses acteurs dans la protection des femmes et des filles autochtones au Canada. Cela passe par l’étude de la surreprésentation des femmes autochtones dans le milieu carcéral mais aussi des nombreuses disparitions et meurtres dont elles sont victimes depuis plusieurs dizaines d’années. Cette recherche soutient que le rôle des acteurs, publics et privés, est indéniable dans la mise en place d’une politique plus protectrice des droits des femmes autochtones mais les actions sont limitées par la volonté de l’État.
