Abstract
This scoping review aims to assess available evidence on access to DMT in children and adolescents with pediatric-onset MS (symptom onset under 18 years of age) in Canada – both overall and regionally (e.g., within different provinces or territories) – and internationally. This study will look at access to DMT medications within Canada and compare/contrast access between provinces/territories as well as to other regions internationally. This will allow us to assess (1) regional variability in access to DMT medications for pediatric MS and (2) DMT access within Canada as compared to other countries/regions internationally. In doing so, we aim to identify barriers and pave the way for future work in addressing these barriers to ensure better and equal therapy access for all children and adolescents with MS.
