Abstract
El Port del Sud de Hèlsinki es situa entre dos grans eixos històrics: l'eix comercial del Parc Esplanadi i l'eix universitari i cultural de la catedral i la universitat de la ciutat. El projecte encaixa el port a la trama urbana de la ciutat completant aquests dos grans eixos en forma de creu. Per una banda, es reorganitza l'eix horitzontal, i per l'altre, a l'eix vertical es crea un nou punt d'activitat en forma d'una nova terminal de ferris i una gran zona d'aparcament d'uns 20.000m2.
