Abstract
A Gazdálkodás agrárökonómiai tudományos folyóirat Szerkesztőbizottsága, a Magyar Agrár- és Élettudományi Egyetem Agrár- és Élelmiszergazdasági Intézete, a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Agrár-közgazdasági Tudományos Bizottsága és a Gazdálkodás Baráti Köre EU-tagságunk 20 éves agrár- és vidékfejlesztési tapasztalatai címmel konferenciát szervezett a Magyar Agrár- és Élettudományi Egyetem Károly Róbert Campusán (Gyöngyös). Magyarország 2004-es EU-csatlakozása óta az agrár- és vidékfejlesztési politika meghatározó tényezője a közös agrárpolitika (KAP) rendszerébe való integráció. Az elmúlt két évtized során a hazai mezőgazdaság és a vidéki térségek működésében gyökeres változások történtek: megerősödött a támogatási rendszer szerepe, átalakult a birtokszerkezet, modernizálódtak az üzemek, és Magyarország egyre szorosabban bekapcsolódott az európai agrárkereskedelembe. Ugyanakkor a folyamat nem volt zökkenőmentes: számos kihívás, strukturális probléma és alkalmazkodási kényszer kísérte a fejlődést.Az elmúlt húsz év tapasztalatai alapján elmondható, hogy az EU-tagság alapvetően pozitív hatással volt a magyar agráriumra és a vidékfejlesztésre. A támogatások nélkül a szektor nem tudott volna ilyen mértékben fejlődni, modernizálódni és bekapcsolódni a globális piacba. Ugyanakkor a jövő kihívásai – a klímaváltozás, a generációváltás, a társadalmi egyenlőtlenségek és a fenntarthatósági elvárások – új válaszokat követelnek. Az agrár-felsőoktatás, a kutatás, az innováció és a helyi közösségek megerősítése kulcsszerepet játszanak abban, hogy Magyarország a következő évtizedekben is versenyképes és fenntartható agrárgazdasággal rendelkezzen.
