Abstract
Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der historischen Genese des Gewohnheitsrechts des Einzelnen, Petitionen an die Obrigkeit bzw. an die Staatsregierung einzureichen. Der besondere Fokus liegt hierbei auf den Zusammenhängen im modernen Bayern. Die Bedeutung des Petitionswesens für die parlamentarische Entwicklung im Königreich Bayern stellt den zentralen Forschunggegenstand dar. Die dieser Studie zugrundeliegende Sichtung umfangreicher Archivalien des Hauptstaatsarchivs München geht einher mit der Auswertung und der kritischen Beleuchtung eines Forschungsprojekts zum vorliegenden Thema, welches an der Universität Würzburg durchgeführt wurde.
