Abstract
Стаття присвячена вивченню політики центральної російської влади стосовно призначення, переміщення та звільнення керівників єпархій Південної України. Розглядаються основні тенденції цієї політики, ступінь участі у вирішенні кадрових питань імператорів, Синоду, представників місцевої світської влади, місцевого духовенства. Установлюється коло факторів, що впливали на визначення кандидатур єпархіальних архієреїв.
