Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio resultou de uma investigação realizada no âmbito de um estágio curricular no Serviço de Educação, Mediação e Participação do Centro de Arte Moderna (CAM) da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, entre outubro de 2023 e junho de 2024, com fim à conclusão do Mestrado em Museologia. Os estudos no campo da educação têm resultado numa mudança no que toca à compreensão sobre processos de aprendizagem. Se anteriormente se pensava na aprendizagem como um processo passivo de consumo de informação, hoje a aprendizagem é tomada como um processo que se desenvolve a longo prazo, no qual o aprendiz toma um papel ativo no seu próprio desenvolvimento. Neste novo paradigma, o conhecimento é construído num espaço de diálogo e negociação de significados entre duas ou mais partes, preconizando também um outro lugar e perspetiva da prática da mediação. Ao mesmo tempo, a experiência museal do visitante não se cinge a um processo de aprendizagem, nem somente a uma aprendizagem conceptual. É uma experiência completa, influenciada por contextos pessoais, socioculturais e físicos, que envolve não só o momento da visita ou atividade, mas também os momentos anteriores e posteriores às mesmas, as memórias, significados e sensações traduzidas pela experiência. As práticas participativas têm sido utilizadas cada vez mais por instituições culturais, numa tentativa de se criar com o público e não apenas para o público, para o conhecer, responder às suas necessidades, interesses e preocupações e criar experiências significativas na sociedade atual e com as comunidades. Assim, neste relatório a experiência museal e o processo de aprendizagem do visitante são analisados a partir de projetos e metodologias participativas, tendo como estudos de caso a segunda edição do projeto Lugar e o Conselho Consultivo Jovem 23- 24.
