Abstract
Có hai yếu tố không thể thiếu trong tục thờ Hậu: cung tiến và báo đền. Với sự cung tiến của mình, bên cung tiến sẽ được làng xã đền đáp bằng việc thờ cúng sau khi mất (cũng có trường hợp được báo đền ngay từ lúc sinh thời). Vậy những người cung tiến là ai? Họ có thay đổi về số lượng ra sao trong lịch sử thờ Hậu? Trả lời được câu hỏi này, chúng ta sẽ hiểu được về một nhân tố quan trọng trong hoạt động thờ Hậu, đồng thời cũng có thể hình dung phần nào những biến thiên trong xã hội, mà thành phần cung tiến là một trong những biểu hiện. Bài viết này được thực hiện với mục đích nhằm lý giải những vấn đề trên.
