Abstract
Résumé Différentes conséquences pouvant résulter de la présentation et de l’utilisation séquentielle d’une méthode de résolution de problèmes mathématiques axée sur le repérage d’informations utiles pour la résolution ont été étudiées. Le présent article se concentre sur le point de vue d’élèves quand l’enseignant privilégie une telle pratique lors de l’activité de résolution de problèmes écrits de mathématiques. Des entrevues individuelles réalisées auprès de 104 élèves de 9-10 ans provenant de 14 classes du Québec ont permis de confirmer l’hypothèse selon laquelle l’utilisation d’une telle méthode alourdit la tâche de résolution de problèmes, entraînant un effet négatif sur l’attitude des élèves. Nos conclusions viennent appuyer le besoin de formation des enseignants du primaire en lien avec l’activité de résolution de problèmes mathématiques, notamment au regard des approches d’enseignement de celle-ci.
