Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

“Extended Periodic Table – Physics Edition This document is a multi-page, landscape PDF that begins with the familiar 118-element periodic table and then extends the layout schematically to atomic number 500. Each period retains the classic visual grammar—s-block on the left, p-block on the right, d-block in the center, and detached f- and g-rows beneath—so readers can track orbital structure even where chemistry is purely theoretical. Beyond the graphical grid, the PDF includes a physics-rich reference system: Section Key contents Legend Block keys, regime definitions (atomic A / exotic-nucleus N / exotic-matter M), and an explanation of every data column. Appendix A Limits of atomic stability (relativistic collapse, liquid-drop binding). Appendix B Rationale for blocks beyond f (g, h, i widths). Appendix C IUPAC systematic names & symbols for Z 119-500. Appendix D Quantum summary for each Z (block, n, ℓ, degeneracy g, Madelung index, αZ, Dirac γ, rough mass number A, quark count). Appendix E Nuclear & atomic metrics: binding-energy per nucleon, Coulomb term, Bohr radius / Z, crude covalent radius, and a half-life bucket (stable-days, ms-band, µs-band). In short, it is both a visually faithful extension of the periodic table and a compact physics handbook for super-heavy and hypothetical elements up to Z 500.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
